Ashley + James

Okay you guys, I have so much to say about this amazingly sweet couple and their gorgeous Huntington Beach wedding! They are So Cal natives but live in Texas and they chose a stunning beach wedding that brought all of their family and friends together. This elegant beach wedding was filled with modern flare and small pops of rustic elements with a main color palette of dusty blues, gold, black and white.

I love how Ashley and James filled their day with all the little details that captured their style and love as husband and wife. They chose to use capiz shells instead of traditional place cards which is such a beautiful and fun take away for the guests, too! Favors and practicality all in one? I think yes! You’re just going to have to scroll through all of these stunning pictures to see all the stunning details. But, here are the details I was so excited to design and incorporate into their special day!

We did a full custom invitation design with black letterpress, gold foil and a beautiful monogram which we carried out throughout the entire wedding - including the gobo light which is always just so cool! The navy envelopes were hand addressed with pearl white calligraphy and they really pull the romantic and beach wedding vibes together. The look was completely polished with a vellum belly band and traditional gold wax seals.

The wooden welcome sign with white vinyl added that rustic flare and since they wanted to keep this sign as a keepsake for their home, I suggested we keep it simple with something they’d want on their walls. We printed the program sign for the ceremony and the table numbers on cardstock and mixed up the medium with some acrylic signs as well. With the guestbook, place cards sign, cards & gifts, and memorial signs, I used acrylic with white vinyl and used dusty blue paint for the base to add that pop of color. I loved so much that they incorporated the memory table where we added the custom candles with each lost loved one’s name on them. The personalized bar / cocktail menu was printed on foam core added some extra fun with the watercolor illustrations.

I was so honored to be part of their wedding. To the sweetest couple, Ashley & James, I wish you a life full of love & happiness together!
