My Bridal Shower!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect bridal shower thrown by my incredible mom, sister and two best friends. They really pulled out all the stops and I am still grinning ear to ear and still so overwhelmed with love!

This shower was themed with some scattered carnations, burgundy and blush tones with pops of gold. My dear friend Jackie of Penelope Pots created an incredible floral photo backdrop that is too pretty for words!! Her spunky bloom centerpieces were absolutely perfect with some geometric gold lanterns. You guys... she is seriously a genius when it comes to florals and I'm obsessed with everything she does!

My matron of honor, Mallory (of Mallory Dawn Photography), took all of these incredible pictures while also planning the event with my team of amazing ladies! She captured every hug and every detail, giving me the most perfect gift of being able to cherish this day with all of my favorite women in one room! She is just absolutely amazing and I can't thank her enough. So honored that she will be standing next to me while I marry the man of my dreams!

My other matron of honor, Milena, is the most thoughtful friend in the world. One time, she threw me a "puppy paw-ty" for my birthday (because I love dogs) and she really out did herself with all of her brilliant ideas for this shower too! She thought of the most perfect details that are just so "me" because she probably knows me better than I know myself! Seriously, I am still just in awe about how truly wonderful and thought out this shower was and couldn't appreciate my girls any more <3

My sister, Lauryn, worked her butt off to make this the perfect day for me! She is just the best sister and maid of honor a girl could ask for and I am just so lucky to have her in my life. Along with her, my beautiful mom, Helen, was the most popular gal at the shower because I needed everyone to meet her that hadn't yet! She worked so hard as well to make this day so wonderful and I love to brag about how amazing she is, so I was so excited for her to meet all of my friends!

The girls had my fiancé surprise me with an on-the-spot Newlywed Game! He showed up with a bouquet of roses and some Sugarfina gummy bears and settled in to play! I was so nervous to play, but we actually did really well! It was so fun for him to come and get to see everyone too.

The best surprise was from my dear friend Heather (of The Editor's Touch). She lives up in Washington so she wasn't able to be physically at the shower, but we were able to FaceTime her when I opened my gift she sent!  (Thank you to my incredible wedding planner Amy with All in the Detail Design for doing the FaceTime! I love you!!) Heather did not only get me a giant box of hilarious M&Ms with our faces printed on them, but she also totally surprised me with.... A TRIP TO VISIT HER IN SEATTLE IN TWO WEEKS!!! What?!?! I still can't believe she would do that for me and it's just the nicest thing in the world!! You can see the joy in my face because I love her so much and I'm just SO excited!!!

The details of this shower were absolutely beautiful from the gorgeous laser cut "Kontras" sign of my new last name cut by Creative Amme to my favorite cake in the world made by the delicious Susie Cakes. My favorite place for catering, Mendocino Farms "wow"ed everyone with their scrumptious (and healthy!) sandwich, salad and side options. Milena and Mallory stayed up all night to make super yummy and beautiful cake pops for the dessert bar and got my favorite dessert (donuts with sprinkles) for the bar as well!

I obviously couldn't let go of the calligraphy pieces, so they told me a general color scheme and design, but I had no idea about all of the other details that they were planning! My girls gave me a list of signs, etc. for me to make and I had a blast making them! I started with invitations, burgundy ink on blush paper, double sided with a beautiful floral pattern on the back. When I get to address to my own loved ones, I want to give them all the compliments so I was ecstatic to address these babies! That white ink on burgundy is a new fav! The "thank you" cards match the invitation, with the floral envelope liner incorporated as well.

I used the same designs for the signs around the shower from the welcome sign to the bar menus, and some other little ones mixed in. I made our hashtag (#graysonbecomeskontras) on wood which Mallory used to decorate behind the dessert bar. One of my favorite details were the burgundy and gold foil cocktail and guest napkins with my design of "Future Mrs. Kontras 3.23.18".  These went perfectly with the custom paper plates with the floral design and the touch of metallic with the gold flatware!

My absolute favorite detail were the champagne flute favors, where I wrote each guest's names and cut them out in vinyl as a thank you for coming and celebrating with me. My heart could not be more filled with love and I am just so grateful for all of these wonderful ladies in my life!

Still smitten with this day and I hope it can give you some fun inspiration for your next shower or party!!
